Biography

Lauren Lee Smith was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. The stepdaughter of a documentary filmmaker, Lauren was introduced to the world of showbusiness at an early age. This exposure was responsible for Lauren's later entry into acting. After moving with her family to Los Angeles at 14 years old, Lauren began a professional acting career. She returned to Vancouver at 19. Shortly after signing with an agent in 1999, Lauren was cast in the movie "Get Carter'. She has also had appearance in shows such as "2Gether and "Dark Angel", which was supposed to be a leading part, but was reduced to a one-time guest appearance after conflicts with other projects.
